Zosma is a star in the constellation Leo. Its name comes from the ancient Greek zōma, meaning “girdle” or “belt,” referring to its position around the Lion’s hip and hindquarters.

In traditional astrology, Zosma is associated with the planetary nature of Saturn and Venus. Saturn gives the star its themes of experience, endurance and hard-earned wisdom, while Venus adds sensitivity and awareness of our relationships with others.

Spiritually, this gives Zosma an energy of wisdom gained through experience, recognising what life has taught you, becoming more discerning about what you carry forward, and finding strength in everything you have already moved through. It represents resilience with wisdom rather than resilience for its own sake.
