DENEBOLA ✦ “The Lion’s Tail”
DENEBOLA ✦ BETA LEONIS
“The Tail of the Lion”
Independence · Change · Freedom · Breaking Convention
Denebola is one of the brightest stars in the constellation Leo. Its name derives from the Arabic dhanab al-asad, meaning “the tail of the lion,” and it marks the tip of Leo’s tail.
In traditional astrology, Denebola is associated with the planetary nature of Saturn and Venus. It has long carried a more unconventional, independent quality — associated with change, challenging convention and following a path that may differ from what is expected.
Spiritually, this gives Denebola an energy of freedom and self-direction. It represents knowing when something has run its course, having the courage to break from old patterns, and choosing your own direction rather than simply following the crowd.
